Nidi Design: 10 years of dreams turned into unique spaces
Ten years ago,
at the Salone Del Mobile 2013, Nidi introduced a whole new take on the way
kids' and teens' bedrooms were designed: Nordic design meets and merges with
the allure of the Made in Italy label, a modern offering for spaces that
accompany the occupants on their journey to adulthood.
Over the years,
the Nidi catalogues have excited and inspired with their magical interiors.
2014 saw the
launch of the new "Moods" catalogue. Through rooms representing
different worlds, Moods explored the Nidi collections' different styles,
colours and... moods.
The same year,
the "Elements" catalogue offered a detailed narrative illustrating
the various products, supported by a wealth of in-depth technical information.
The same year, the "Rooms" catalogue proved to be a real design gem:
23 kids' bedrooms conceived with painstaking attention to detail.

2015 was the
year of the "Solutions" catalogue, with mechanisms taking centre
stage. Desks that slide and then disappear, beds that pull down and then lift
up, everything has been designed with flexibility in mind. Objective: to help
provide tangible solutions to the current demand for well organized spaces of
all kinds. The same year, with the Nidi 2015 catalogue,
divided into 6 sections — Free-form bedrooms, bunk beds, loft beds, bridging
units, and mechanisms — solutions were presented catering to every space and
need.
In 2016,
during the Fuorisalone side event, a Pop-Up store on Milan's Via Garibaldi
captured the attention of visitors. The Nidi Magazine was handed out during the
event: the story of two bedrooms punctuated by interviews with talented
children's illustrators, taking readers on a journey into their own childhood
memories.

2017 saw the
introduction of the "Kids", "Teens" and
"Elements" catalogues. Three colour-based offerings, enhanced by the
Nidi collections, and showcasing accessories — SYSTEM, FREE SYSTEM and
COMPLEMENTS — that added the finishing touch to elevate each interior.
In 2019, the
"KIDS" catalogue brought together function and design. This evolution
continued in 2020 with the "Next" catalogue, which presented 14
different bedroom solutions. The neutral finishes, colour palettes and
illustrations were designed to cater to the tastes of young adults.
"Next" is when your room becomes everything: a space for sleeping,
studying, discovering, experimenting, sharing and growing.

A whole world

We're
celebrating 10 years of Nidi Design, a decade over which dreams have been
turned into unique spaces. A journey into the world of design for kids, teens
and young adults, where creativity and function come together to create
interiors that reflect the essence of young dreamers and grow with them.
